    Juerg Kiener
    Director - Portfolio Management
    Juerg is presently the MD/CIO at Swiss Asia Capital and has more than 30 years experience in the banking industry, with extensive know-how in the private banking, asset management and securities industries. Juerg has gained considerable global investment experience, having held postings in Zurich, Geneva, Johannesburg, London, Guernsey, Hong Kong and Singapore with two leading Swiss banks, Credit Suisse and Union Bancaire Privee. At these banks, Juerg was involved in a significant amount of project work, integrating various businesses into the Banks' networks, while he also was responsible for setting up the Asian ex-Japan private banking and product teams. Juerg has managed global and Asian investment mandates, both on an absolute and relative basis, and covered the resources sector for global mandates since 1980. He currently manages resources mandates at Swiss Asia Capital for institutional clients and high net-worth individuals on a fund- and managed-account basis, with a focus on the Asia-Pacific region. Juerg is frequently featured on television for CNBC Asia, BBC and Bloomberg, and is a regular speaker at global investment conferences.

    Markus Grimm

    Markus is a restructuring and turnaround expert, who has spent his entire career managing a special investment situations. Altogether, he has more than 15 years experience in more than 80 mandates and deals of strategic, financial and operational advisory, as well as financial institution- and corporate restructurings and complete Private Equity turnarounds in a broad range of situations and industries. He was active on all six continents for Sandoz Corp. (Novartis) and for the Asian affiliates for UBS. Markus was previously with Andersen Consulting (Accenture) as a Senior Manager - Strategy, Financial Institutions, for the Greater China region. More recently, Markus has been managing turnaround situations in financial institutions, corporations and direct investments, and he presently serves on the board of various privately held companies. Markus has an MBA from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania where he majored in Finance and International Management, and a degree from the School of Economics in Zurich.

Tony also has particular expertise in asset divestment and acquisition, both for principal (balance sheet acquisition) and advisory. Tony serves a Director of Alkane Exploration Ltd and Alliance Resources Ltd.;Tony, a geologist with over ten years mining experience is specializing in underground operations, his mine experience includes Kalgoorlie Golden Mile (WMC & KCGM), Bellevue (Plutonic; now Barrick Homestake).

    Simon is a founding director of Helmsec Global Capital and has almost 20 years investment banking experience in Australia, UK and Asia.  Simon has an equity capital markets and M&A background and has considerable experience assisting “small and mid cap” companies raise capital. Prior to joining Helmsec Global Capital, Simon spent many years with Macquarie Bank and HSBC working in equity and structured finance, M&A for a range of Australian and offshore clients.   Simon holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Griffith University and has a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.

    Amelin is a seasoned Portfolio Manager with more than 15 years of investment management and portfolio consulting experience. She has advised and managed private banking accounts for Global and Asian mandates, and also managed institutional accounts at three international banks based in Singapore; on a relative and absolute basis. During the past eight years, she has focused particularly on the resources sector, with emphasis on investing in development-stage resource companies for portfolio inclusion into in-house funds and managed accounts. In addition, she has conducted financial training for candidates sitting for the Chartered Financial Analyst examinations. Amelin has a B.Sc. (First Class Honors) degree in Banking & International Finance from Cass Business School, London and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. She is a member of the International Society of Financial Analysts and a local member of the Singapore Chapter of the International Society of Financial Analysts.
